The FIFA world cup fever is here after 4 years of countries battling it out in different uncomfortable atmospheric conditions.Being an addict football lover, i have waited till early hours of the morning just to watched teams sweating it out in a world cup qualifier matches in hot humidity,very very cold countries of the negative weather report sign(-) and in an altitude where is so difficult to catch your breath because, of shortage of oxygen. Lionel Messi of Argentina can explain this better.

Goodness, sometimes life can be unfair! haven qualified for the most prestigious Football tournament on the planet (world cup) ,which is every football players most cherished dreams, and just one last game or a match to end the football season in a club side competition, some of the most awaited players by football fans could not believe how their heroes has be left out because of sudden injuries. Micheal Ballack, Micheal Essien etc etc were the worst hit in Chelsea F.C. just to mentioned but a few. Even those who thought that injury has been so friendly with them this season, have something else to think about. Coaches in respective countries has got the most tedious task of choosing or selecting the final 23 man squad that will represent their nation in accordance with FIFA stipulation. Countries with a high profile players like Argentina which has done well in their respective clubs football in top European tournament this season has made the task of selection in the national team a tedious one for one of the most talented footballer of all time Diego Amado Maradona (Argentina manager). Joachim Loew the manager of Germany is having a lot of acute head ache in this regard as his side that is worst hit by injury problems now faces the task of selection .

Okay, FIFA the governing body of this prestigious game (world cup) has done lot in the past to humiliate goal keepers as the saying goes ... >'' MORE GOALS MORE CHEERS FROM FANS AND MORE EXCITEMENT''!! For this reason (GOALS), FIFA has tried in the past to increase the size of the goalpost by trying to make it a lot more wider then its usual size of 8 yards (7.32 m) wide and 8 feet (2.44 m) tall for a professional game like the world cup. Hell! the goal keepers were so angry and major goal keepers in the world was so furious about this! even the present size seems to wide for the goal keepers to handle, bla bla bla. The governing body FIFA could not take the criticism from football enthusiasm , annalist, organisation, fans and media. Players in general were not in support of a wider goal post experiment. Just to please the football world , this idea was not experimented!.Although FIFA was not done yet, as the nag and hunger for more goals was giving the board members a sleepless night like Christano Ronaldo , Lionel Messi Frank Lampad etc etc are battling it out in European league for who will be the best player by trying to score more goals instead being the creator and feeders for top strikers to do most of the scoring! The world cup of 2002 hosted by South Korea and Japan saw the introduction of a new flying ball like a rocket that went straight from Earth planet into space! Roberto Carlos of Brazil was the most fear Dead ball executer at that time. mmmmm! he did not like the idea of this light flying ball as his legs muscles was specially built to the former ball he was used to . Adjusting to this new technology means new tactics is needed to execute this new ball into perfection. The motive of this new flying ball is no other than goals. But this has touched every other areas in the game unknowing to FIFA and ADIDAS. Players have to run more faster to catch the long passes, to save throwing and to win or intercept passes. This has led to more injuries as player intend to slide from far to catch an opponent or to shoot from far to beat a goal keeper!Older player have to be replaced by younger players, Ronaldiho, Ronaldo of brazil Jay Jay Okocha of Nigeria etc etc all have to either retire or settle for less.Bravo to FIFA! actually with all his negative side more Goals has been score and more injuries has been sustained (Micheal Ballack)!!

This time around, Goal keepers are crying again! Julio Cesar , the Brazilian National Goal keeper who is regarded as the best around has voiced out his anger about the ball to be use in this world cup in South Africa. He has compared the ball to that used in a beach Volleyball!!. However, like the previous world cup fans are not bother about this as the World cup fever has eaten everyone so deep, the zeal that await its commencement has bother fans more than just the world cup ball itself. how thus the present ball look like. beautiful to me but, i will never have the opportunity to lay my hand on it to see how dangerous it will be for the goal keepers!

Most importantly, i do strongly believed that, no matter what experiment that will come in into play in the next world cups to come in the future by FIFA, one thing is sure, there will be no time that the glamor, the craze and the financial and sport infrastructures it brought to host countries be reduce. But for sure, FIFA will look and made more research with ADIDAS through latest technology to make sure there is no goalless score anymore not minding the injuries and energy that players have to give in to be able to meet up with the rush in th field. Not until this aim is archived, goal keepers will never experience the FAIR PLAY slogan on the part of FIFA!
